Guest Guest Posted June 2, 2007 I really like the bright colors in this shot, and there's lots of detail to see, even in the shadowed foreground. I also like the perspective and the clouds receding in the distance. Not being as well traveled as you, I don't know where this is, but it looks like an interesting place to shoot. And it's good to see new work from you. Link to comment
billfoster 0 Posted June 2, 2007 Thanks for your kind words. Sorry for the lack of image info. I uploaded about 60 pics using the batch mode and I have been adding image info to a couple a day. I really hate it when I see a picture I love and can't tell where it is. Anyway, this is Pittsburgh the day after the huge blizzard in February. You can see the baseball park on the left and the football stadium is just out of sight on the left. The nice thing about travelling so much is the pleasent surprises. I wasn't looking forward to visiting Pittsburgh at all, but it is a dynamic, interesting fun city and much more beautiful then I imagined. I'm not completely happy with this picture because of the shadowed forground. I guess one would have to shoot there in the morning to get better light but I was there for work so I had to shoot when I could shoot. I also wish I had shot some RAW here, but it was like -15 and my brain was frozen. Anyway, I did what I could with the shadows. Thanks again. Good to hear from you. Link to comment
billfoster 0 Posted June 3, 2007 Pittsburgh on one of the coldest days of the year, a couple days after a huge storm. I was quite frozen waiting for this train to get in position (the first time it got there my lens froze and wouldn't focus so I had to warm it up and shoot again) but I loved this surprisingly beautiful city.
