Not as spectacular as the previous night shot, the building is less interesting. I guess you left the LHS dark for balance reasons, but there is too much dark space for my taste, I would sacrifice a bit from the left side if it were mine. Would place the building also in thirds. What do you think ?

Carsten, thank you for your suggestion. I cropped the dark space a bit(attached). I think it works better, indeed it is was not necessary. It is in fact the same building, seen from behind. It was above all an experiment with various light sources, the city, the moon and flash.

Very well visualized and composed (IMO the two most difficult things in night shots without a digital trial-error approach). I think it would be perfect if the exposure for the sky was just a little longer. But anyway a good one...

Thank you for your comment, Jiri. I agree that in the night it is sometimes quite difficult to compose. At this particular occassion, there was full moon above the clouds, so, with our eyes accustomed, we could see the composition quite well. Lightpainting with Velvia is another story, however. One needs a bit of experience and good luck. I admire the work of Tom Freebairn in this respect. I hope I will find some time for more night shooting this summer. Best regards. Peter
