mvisionphotography 1 Posted May 17, 2007 The facinating thing to me is the dark suit and the white shirt. The way the contrast works in this picture is incredible. You just don't see digital working like this now. You just can't duplicate it on Digital. THIS is FILM at its finest and I absolutely adore it! I love the soft tones of his face and the sharpness of his eyes. Those cutting eyes. This is a wonderful picture and I am thrilled you are showing us. Show us more!! Link to comment
snapshooter 0 Posted May 17, 2007 Thanks Micki. Glad you like this. You're going to give me a complex with all those superlatives, though. I do think you can do as well with digital, but it's a bit more work, and you have to have a spotmeter in your camera system, and do a little experimentation. Just spot read all your principle areas, and then determine the appropriate average from those readings, and set that manually. Center Weighted Averaging systems are pretty good, but they have trouble with pure white at times. Link to comment

rbanfield 0 Posted May 22, 2007 Doug, I'm dating myself. Ike was the first President I remember. This is one great shot of him. I agree with the above comments about the eyes. And a big thanks for sharing Ike with us and I'm glad you got him out of the vault, so to speak. RAY Link to comment
