distantvoice 0 Posted May 13, 2007 Interesting. We are using the same equipment and I am just thinking about square format and selective blurring. The ropes in the foreground add dynamism and make this work engaging but they weaken the melancholic mood of this scene. Link to comment

je.barreto1 0 Posted May 13, 2007 I think that I like it more if there are no ropes in the scene. I feel the ropes like strange actors, intruders, in a very peaceful mood. And the detail in the rope in the right side is in opposition with the simple lines that made the great charisma of the picture. Not to offend, only my opinion, nothing more. But overall I love the pic, the tonalities, the lovely light, the eloquent and calm simplicity and the image quality. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted May 13, 2007 I love it and can't imagine it without the ropes (I guess that's what makes horseracing). THe ropes add depth and pull me in, and the texture they provide is just an added visual element to me, which contrasts the beautiful smoothness you've captured. It is quite a peaceful image.
