barros_carla 0 Posted May 13, 2007 Miguel, this picture is fantastic - one of your best, I think! It absolutely *shines*. Impressive level of detail. And a nice tribute to a world-class guitar player. I'll keep an eye on this Marillion folder of yours, as it surely deserves attention. Keep shooting All the best, Carla Link to comment
msr 0 Posted May 13, 2007 Thanks Carla for your nice words, and thanks for the complimments. The Minolta is certainly very good for concert photography, also because I'm more trainned with it. The zoom lenses is also very good (it was from my "old" film Minolta but works very well it the digital. I think Sony actually maintained this lenses on the catalog, that certainly proves the positive public reaction to it). Still many times "it doesn't come out right on the first click". I'm just still an photo enthusiast. When I have the oportunity, I take all my memory cards, and I shoot in raw mode, so I can correct imagens on the PC (the details on this one are: 1/40 shutter speed (thats enough for prog rock....!) F4.5 (that minolta chooseed automatically on the Shutter priority mode I was using. I'm soory as I didn't take notes on my post shhoting PC treatment, but this particular one was "good enough" so I probably just did same minor ajustments. I'm posting the not so good capture just before this one, so you can see. Regards. Link to comment
msr 0 Posted May 13, 2007 I had already posted SR in BW. I also decided for colour on this one because of the beautifull guitar (I'm trying to post different guitar for SR because I once saw in on a DVD concert always with the same!!! lol). But were you can see how it would be in bw Link to comment
kaurlass 0 Posted July 13, 2010 Color photo is the best. Love it, it describes Steve so well. He is unique guitar player with amazing sound. You just close your eyes and fly with the music. But then again so does he. You have captured it perfectly. Link to comment
