Great comp, but what's with the sky? I thought the sun never stopped shining on your side of the Pond? :-)

 

Duxford Flying Legends is this weekend - so keep an eye out for new Spit pics!

 

No fair... I'll take this sky any day if some spits were in it! Well, the sun doesnt always shine on this side of the pond, ever been to the pacific north west?... But in Florida... i dunno what was up with that day.

I've been to lots of parts of the US, including FL, and as I recall most days in Orlando there was a huge but brief downpour - they evacuated the water at Wet 'n' Wild on one occassion because of the lightning! The heaviest rain I ever saw was at Harlingen, TX, during a visit to the C.A.F. museum. Even saw snow at Lake Tahoe once!

 

Over here at the mo, it's been raining nearly non-stop for weeks. Major flooding. Northern cities like Sheffield are under water in places. I went to RAF Waddington near Lincoln at the weekend for the airshow, and it got cancelled due to heavy rain overnight. Looking OK for Duxford though, so should have no worries there.

 

One show I'd love to see is Nellis AB - last time I was in LV missed it by 1 day :-( I bet they don't have to worry about clouds or rain

oh yeah, the weather sucks b's here in the summer, thats a fact. In the winter, when this airshow is, its usually pretty clear.
