mvisionphotography 1 Posted May 10, 2007 Most of the areas where the houses had to be torn down two years (because of Hurricane Ivan's distruction two years ago in Florida) only have remains like this. Walkways that do not get walked on anymore or docs that have no more walkways on them. This is all that is left of a house that is gone. Link to comment
mmene 0 Posted May 10, 2007 Very nice B&W with good composition. I hope you are taken me in a nice place. Just let me care of the broken piece. Friendly Michael. Link to comment
mvisionphotography 1 Posted May 10, 2007 Yes Michael I am drawn to the broken things... maybe because I want to be fixed, hmmm maybe you are right. Funy I see the beauty in this walkway that is why I took the picture and today when going through my pictures I couldn't believe I had not uploaded it before. Link to comment
joanbn 0 Posted May 10, 2007 Great black and white. Can almost feel the distruction by looking at this walkway with the missing boards and the grass and weeds poking up through them. Pray Florida has a quiet hurricane season for 2007. Link to comment
antanas.strazdas 0 Posted May 11, 2007 Perfect composition, very good B&W tones! Best regards! Link to comment
mvisionphotography 1 Posted May 11, 2007 I really felt this had a simple quality with a great story behind it. This has made me felt that I might want to really invest in a "real camera" and take some B&W pictures on film. Link to comment
torfinn 0 Posted May 11, 2007 A very good shot Micki. Good contrast, lightning, and composition. Best regards, Torfinn. Link to comment

snapshooter 0 Posted May 14, 2007 It is a good shot, Micki. I like it. I'd have probably come away with at least a dozen shots. I do have a different take on it, though. My eyes keep jumping from the boardwalk to the bright sand, to the tree and grasses, in an almost continuous motion, instead of concentrating on the boardwalk. Just a different approach. Well done. mvisionphotography 1 Posted May 14, 2007 THAT is a great idea! I will play with it before I print it! I was going to give this to one of the local DINERS that I like to go to eat. Maybe get a free meal out of it (YEAH). I like your idea and so now I will play with it some more. THIS is why I like PN!! :) THANK YOU!! Link to comment
jan_piller 0 Posted May 15, 2007 Nice peaceful image. I also love the sound of these boardwalks when you walk on them. Great mood. I like Dougs tighter crop but this one showing lots of space on each side is also pleasing. Nice job! Link to comment
bartimeus1 0 Posted May 15, 2007 Sorry for the slow commenting, once again! I`ve been very busy during the last days. Also thank you for your several comments to my photos! The story behind this one is really touching! I cannot even understand what would it feel like to loose the home because of the hurricane... Awful. I like the desolate mood in your image. The hopeless boardwalk to nowhere. Very effective! Alpo Link to comment
