Wow, this is the type of image that makes a person realize how small and insignifcant we are on this planet. The person on the edge of the cliff is what makes this photo.

Very impressive photo. The scenery in northern

Norway is spectacular, you have captured what

it's like to stand at the edge of the Arctic.

I know when I'm about to rate a photo very well. The first word out of my mouth was "wow."

Thanks for comments and ratings, just want to mention that the cliff that you barely can see top/middle of the picture is "Knivskjellodden" Europe`s northenmost point. North of this point is only one island, Spitsbergen, before the Northpole.

I might want to shoot it at a little bit wider focal length and then corp out the center part horizontally to make it look like a XPAN photo if I had the chance to stand in front of such beautiful scene.

I would like to say something terribly profound, but I'm speechless!

what a great shot, the only little thing maybe for me is what the person is doing (looks like theyre kicking a football or something). maybe another version for me (cos this shot is great as it is) would be to do the panoramic crop like the guy above suggested but also use a slightly longer lens so that we could see more of the person.

Great photo..Norway is one of the most profoundly beautiful places in the world and you have made a photo that matches it's beauty and give a feeling for it's essence.

the image is good. it could be easily improved by more protagonism of the person at the left, and better light quality to have a greater color range or variety.

Have you tried cropping it to vertical format, taking out that fuzzy big whittish cloud in the right foreground?

Yes, this is a nice image but for those of you commenting that this image captures the spirit of Norway, you might find it interesting to know that this is an image that could be captured almost identically along the coast of California on any number of days in the summer as the coast is often socked in by fog. The fact that this image is the northern most point in Europe really means nothing to its aesthetics. If anything, knowing that information, I would want more out of the image in order to rate it in the 7+ range.

 

It's not to say this isn't a compelling image. But rating it a 9 or 10 is rather generous...

The Where of this photo is not so important as the What, that is, the overwhelming power and awe of nature and the ability of Man to value himself as a component of Creation, not as master, or benefactor thereof.

Apparently neither you nor the person in the photo suffer from acrophobia. Breathtaking, for more than one reason!

This is a really powerful image ! My guess is that a "PS Made up" (a superimposition of the cliff & foggy background) but whatever , this is "arresting" & it calls for my "salute" !
