Spring Beach Sunset

The Northern California coast is NOT where one goes to shoot big surf,

(unless you are courageous enough to risk loss of life during a

storm!) but we sure have some beautiful sunsets . . . almost anytime.

I decided awhile ago that since the scores on images mean very little to me, maybe they don't mean too much to others as well. I comment on images, but I stopped rating. (This is probably bad form on this forum.)

 

The boo-birds usually come out early with low scores and then the scores seem to balance out. Overall, it doesn't really tell me a lot. I would rather read what people have to say in the comments, particularly if the comments are constructive.

Very nice shot. I would like to see a slight bit more detail in the shadows. Great sunset. I find your comment above about the big waves humorous as we (yes I'm from Cali too, monterey to be exact) just had some of the biggest waves ever seen in the area in the beginning of the week. They were amazing.

I hope I get the chance to see some of those REALLY big waves in your forum posts.
