Great DOF. I too like the colors. A suggestion: try shooting her about 5 feet down the bridge so as not to have the beginning/ending of the railing in view, on the bottom right of the frame. IMO, it distracts from the fluidity that the railing in the background provides.

Keep up the good work.

Thanks Steve, Yinka and Esau.

Esau, that's actually a great idea. Thanks for the tip. We probably couldn't have done it anyways. The bridge was swarming with bees.

Great placement, everything works here. The more I study this one the better it gets. The wonderful light at the end of the walkway is the icing on the cake. Love the dof and the tack sharp subject. Cheers

Just curious: how did you light it? The lighting is terrific. Did you use any layer masks?

Best wishes

Thanks all for your kind words and feedback. Yinka, I used a Alien Bee large octabox right in front of her.

Ahh...That explains it! The lighting is fantastic! Do you have the vagabond system? Is this the portable octabox?

Thanks so much for telling!

Yinka, I don't have the vagabond system, just a really, really, really long extension cord. LOL, no I'm kidding. Yes I do have the vagabond system and the portable large octabox.

Oh, great! This is a truly wonderful shot. I have the octabox, the 47 inch one, but not the portable one. I am thinking of getting that. It would be wonderful for weddings, etc. I just love this shot!

It is also so sharp. What lens/body?

Are you a pro now? Certainly seems like it.

Best wishes

What losers/total idiots rated this 3/3? 3= less than average. I dare them to say why this is less than average! Yet, these losers will probably rate some photo with naked women with no photographic merit 7/7! Photo.net does not need losers like you!

Thanks Yinka. I have the XL Octabox and it's not ideal for outdoor use so I decided to get the Large portable octabox and this was my first shot with it. I was quite pleased with the results. I plan on using it for weddings too. I used the 85mm f/1.8 on a 5D. I bought the lens more than a year ago and I'm just now starting to use it. It's an awesome lens. Superfast, tack sharp, and gives a nice creamy bokeh, and for only $340, it's a bargain. I just ordered the 135mm f/2. I heard a lot of good things about that lens too.

Wow, I did not know about that lens. I use a 50 mm 1.4, which is pretty sharp. I wonder if I should get the 85 mm? I have a Digital Rebel XT.

Best wishes

Are you pro now?

If you mean by pro, do I get paid for my work? Yes, but I haven't quite my day job yet. Maybe in another 5 years or so.
