hungnguyen 0 Posted April 16, 2007 It is uncharacteristically warm this April (2007). Our family including the kids 8,6 &3 climbed up to Marion Lookout, ascending 800 metres or so. We are particularly proud that Eleanor who is ony three and a half year old, managed to walk all the way up this very high peak. This photograph is taken of Lake Lilla on the way back in the afternoon with Cradle Mountain in the distance. Interested viewers should see Kah Kit Yoong's excellent portfolio including a photograph taken at this very location last year. Link to comment

kahkityoong 0 Posted May 8, 2007 This vertical composition works well. You found one of my favourite glacial erratics. I was doing the overland track during this time, the weather was great for walking but the skies a bit bland for photography. I'm really impressed that your kids made it to Marion's lookout. hungnguyen 0 Posted May 11, 2007 Thanks, Maury and Kah Kit, I agree that the sky is bland and perhaps a bit glaring. It would be better for me to have used one of your graduated filters to darken the sky to get more details out of it. Thanks for looking and commenting. Cheers, Hung Link to comment
kahkityoong 0 Posted May 13, 2007 Did you use a polarizing filter? I think the glare coming off the scene would be handled better with a polarizer than ND grad. Maybe a 1 stop ND grad on top of the polarizer. Link to comment
