Dale M 1 Posted June 11, 2007 Great composition, good range of tones. Have to say that I think the sky very, very slightly overpowers the image - the buildings are almost camouflaged in it and the wall at the very front becomes peripheral rather than a feature. Link to comment
c-ellos 9 Posted June 11, 2007 Veeeeeeeery good !! I would like to see it in colour. (6/6) Link to comment
mattloeber 0 Posted June 11, 2007 I really think that this is one of the best shots i have seen from you!!!!! Everything is perfect from the framing, to the tones, and there is a ton of movement going on here!!! I look at the horizontal of the rocks and then go to the vertical of the trees!! Truly one of your best!!!!!!!!!!!! Link to comment
dgv 1 Posted June 11, 2007 The place Mani has a very long and dramatic history, the sky is dramatic too...I personally see first the wall then the vertical tree then the rest, the dark cloud on the right balances the large bush on the left.If the sky was lighter it would be bottom heavy. Thank though for your comment, after all that is what we are here for.Point taken and thank you again. Link to comment
dgv 1 Posted June 11, 2007 Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately you cannot see it in colour as it was originally shot on black and white film...I am hoping to go down there soon and I will reshoot it in colour...:) Link to comment
dgv 1 Posted June 11, 2007 Thank you very much for your comment. The angle is such because I used a 17mm lens and the towers are leaning back as though they are saying Don't touch me or keep away..:) Link to comment
dgv 1 Posted June 11, 2007 Thank you for your comment, you being a painter would see it like that...:) And you are right, all your observations are correct. Link to comment
lrenard 0 Posted June 11, 2007 ..yes in fact we can feel the movement...trees are like big fingers dancing and pointing something up in the sky.. BRAVO ! Link to comment
