rickaj1995 0 Posted June 6, 2007 Nice picture. The black and white really captures the dull cold that is a Boston Winter. Link to comment
snapshooter 0 Posted July 8, 2007 This isn't good, John .....it's excellent. The mood, the line, the drops of rain or melt.... all together in a great composition. I saw the perspective distotion in the bridge collums and corrected it but somehow it destroyed the mood or feel of the original. Great work. In the off chance you're not familiar with converging verticals, even though you have a level horizontzl fence, with any tilt upward of the camera, all verticals will converge from both sides of the frame. It's always more pronounced when using a wide angle lens. Sometimes it's detrimental, and othr times it adds significant impact as it did here. It's very hard to notice in a small viewfinder, especially using a wide angle lens, but can still be corrected in your editor when necessary. When perspective correction is applied, portions of the borders are cropped off, so it's a good idea to include more image area in your shot than seems necessary. I'll attach the corrected version so you can see what was lost in the process. Link to comment
