dmo_galleries_chicago_phot 0 Posted March 22, 2007 Interesting and different to me because of the colors. Many people focus on the bright colors, even if it involves jacking up the saturation. This stands out because of the muted tones. I like the narrow DOF to focus my eye on the flower in the foreground too. Link to comment
ken dennis 0 Posted March 23, 2007 Veady veady intelestink! Could almost be an abstract, how about a touch more DOF, its just that the leaf pointing forward is just a bit distracting, would have been better if it where in focus too! But overall, good job! Link to comment
jgalyon 0 Posted April 7, 2007 I strongly prefer the muted tones as well Kimberly. I posted a couple of shots w/ a similar composition just the other day in b&w, so on a personal note, it was nice to find this shot...as we apparently tend ( at least on this occassion) to see through " a similar eye". When I viewed in the larger version it seems that the sharpest point of focus was at the "v" on the leaf above and to the left of the bloom. "if", your intent was for the bloom itself to be in sharp focus...you might need to work on your technique there, as the focus was a bit soft. But regardless I appreciate your lovely shot!
