nfreeman 0 Posted March 9, 2007 i agree with M Barbu...all 3 look unusually sharp for such an obviously misty/humid day... and why are the blades (both main & tail rotors) ALL in the same config?? is this something that happens when photographing objects that at are moving at a high rate of speed?...i'm still learning all about photography/digital.... would each appear almost identical to the others? will king 0 Posted March 10, 2007 I would guess that the choppers, or at least some of them are pasted into the background. There's no DOF. Can you confirm this? Link to comment
terry_f 0 Posted March 10, 2007 It does have something of a strange look about it but I really do tend to find favor with it. I've pooh-poohed the idea of pasting....compare the reflections in the windows, the number of wheels visible and the angle of views (first from above, next about level with and third slightly below.) Good job, Joze. Link to comment
danielwfisher 0 Posted March 10, 2007 I'm a helicopter nut and a photography nut and just love this shot, Joze. Do you have any other chopper shots? Would love to see them. Link to comment
k5083 1 Posted March 11, 2007 Extraordinary picture. The landscape is so beautiful and well framed that it would be a good picture without the choppers, and the choppers are so well caught that they would make a good picture on any background -- together, the results are so sublime that I don't blame the commenters for accusing you of a paste job. Excellent work. Link to comment
joze kovacic 0 Posted March 11, 2007 Thank you all for your comments. Some of you will be dissapointed because the main thing i played with are levels with using multiple layers & USM. The goal was to enhance the contrast of helicopters compared to background but as Will said i forgot on DOF. Well, maybe next time ;) And most of all: there was NO paste job! If it were you would see five of them :) At this time i have to thank fellow-pilots for this photo session. Link to comment
backcountryjeff 0 Posted March 12, 2007 Well done. I'm a bit surprised some would question it. Looks good to me, all the choppers are clearly different (numbers, angle, wiper blades on windshield are different, and blades are actually in different places). The mist is on the grown, not up there with the choppers and they are right there with you so they would be very clear. In all a very good job. -- Jeff Link to comment
k5083 1 Posted March 12, 2007 I think people probably noticed the contrast/sharpness differences between the choppers and the background. It might be an even better picture without the enhancements. Link to comment
photodonn 0 Posted March 20, 2007 I wouldn't normally think to say that about 'copters, but that's my reaction. Great job!!! Link to comment
