This image at least made me smile, after pondering it for a moment. Many colors, with a peace sign in the middle. Mind you, this comes shortly after hearing that I'm dismissed because the father of the apple of my eye doesn't like foreigners. :(

 

I like the idea. I find the left side a little dark. Perhaps a somewhat more shallow depth of field could help (but I'm by no means an expert).

Original? Absolutely! Pleasing to the eye? Very! Made me smile...yep! It might be hard for some to give this high marks because of it's simplicity of concept and composition...but I love this little photo! I hope others will rate this one based on it's own context and not give it low marks because it's not DRAMATIC. As Luiz said, it's very symbolic. What it says to me...is that peace is a concept that could be very simple if we adults could only treat it that way. Likewise it says that a photograph can be simple yet masterful if we don't allow our minds-eye to see only through stodgy, overly complex pre-conceptions of what we SHOULD see...
