You have captured so much in his facial expression. He looks like he was a gentle, thoughtful person who's really seen life. I like this photograph very much. My condolences as well. --Donna Stavis

This is a warm, personal portrait that says as much about the photographer as about his subject. As I view it the last words of Melville's "Bartleby The Scrivener" come to mind: "Ah, Bartleby! Ah, humanity!"

First Bill, I like the quality of the photo. I can see every liver spot & it looks like he nicked himself shaving. Second, it's been a few years now, but I see my Dad's face & sometimes hear his voice nearly every day. I'm past middle age & somehow I still seek his approval. Funny, but it seems like the older I got the smarter HE got.

 

This is a great image. One that matters.
