davidmccracken 2 Posted March 1, 2007 Can you tell she's pretty? Feedback appreciated. Link to comment
sideris 0 Posted March 1, 2007 Wonderfully detailed compo, great framing. Congrats David! Link to comment
anthonyd 0 Posted March 1, 2007 Yes. In fact, she is all that one can imagine. You've got a lot working together in this. The composition. Strong contrast between black and white. Vertical and diagnal lines. Smooth curves and an almost "Selective Coloring". Not to mention mystery. What's not to like? -Anthony Link to comment
bodyline 0 Posted March 1, 2007 This is a great image David, the verticals her face looking into the negative space of the image. It all works wonderfully Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted March 2, 2007 Carlos, I kind of like this one myself but I wasn't sure if anyone else would. I am encouraged by your comment. Thanks. Rob, Thanks. Anthony, I guess I was lucky. This was taken on the day I met this girl. I really liked the shirt she was wearing and was happy to compliment it with my tie. BP, Thanks a lot. I do have a few alternative compositions which I may post later. This was my favourite but I have friends who prefer others. Els, I am humbled. Thanks everyone. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted March 2, 2007 The great thing about a photograph is it can make cheap goods look expensive. Link to comment
nicuh 0 Posted March 2, 2007 very good...i like it ...what you say about a title ..."lips,shirt and tie"...regards from romania...keep walking! Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted March 3, 2007 Thanks for the comment Nicu. I sometimes spend time thinking of titles. However, in this case I didn't spend too long on it. (You may have gathered that.) Link to comment
markboyer 0 Posted March 4, 2007 This is great, David. Provocative and light in a number of ways. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted March 5, 2007 Thanks a lot Mark. I do like this one myself. I have alternative compositions that I may post later. Link to comment
matthew hall 0 Posted March 19, 2007 Just great the lines, and the emptiness, I wonder how it would look without the tie, the composition may be original enough just by its self. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted March 20, 2007 Thanks for stopping by. You may have a point about the tie. I do have alternative compositions but as far as I remember, they are all with the tie. I may post them later. Link to comment
trisha jean-angela 5 Posted May 10, 2010 Great idea well executed! I love the composition as well...how you have just shown a part of her is what really makes this image work! Great job; thank you for sharing. :) Link to comment
