frank91664879031 0 Posted March 1, 2007 Very nice. This image has a very pastel, dreamlike look. Excellent composition. Link to comment
anish 0 Posted March 1, 2007 There are a lot of good things going here, but I really, really wish the birds weren't so close to the edge of the frame. The way this is lit, the birds are almost glowing, and it's a beatiful effect, but with that, positioning them so close to the edge takes some of the potential away for me. I might also have framed this to remove the patch of grass at the lower left. Either that or positioned the camera so that there was a little bit more of the grass, allowing it to act as an anchor point. Don't get me wrong, you've made a very nice photo here. These are just my suggestions to perhaps make it even better. Anish Link to comment
andrzejp 9 Posted March 1, 2007 I respectfully disagree with Anish. It is a dream like photo and should not be changed. I like it a lot the way it is. How can you even consider playing with dremas? (Ha Ha) Link to comment
patflynn 0 Posted March 1, 2007 Why shouldn't you consider playing with dreams? That's what digital photography is all about! Anyway I want to add my opinion that this image is terrific and ethereal. If I had shot it I would put it on my wall. I also would move the geese a little toward the right, but that's no knock on this stunning winner of an image. Link to comment
nadeem khawar 0 Posted March 2, 2007 Very moody, Drama of light and colors . Agreat Landscape. Link to comment
barclayphoto 0 Posted March 2, 2007 I'm with Anish... The grass in the lower left is troubling.. in this digital age clone it out!! What a stunning image! Oh and next time give it more room to breathe... it is very tightly cropped. I suspect you did this because of other things that crept into the frame when you backed out... none the less I would like to have seen a bit more space for teh one bird and the tree on the top right. Nits only here it's still a keeper! Link to comment
fhick 0 Posted March 2, 2007 Thank you all for your comments. I am personally not disturbed by the grass on the left side, but I hoped to receive comments about the difference between the two versions of this picture (the first one is in my Last Update folio). I found a big difference in the mood of these two similar pictures. What do you think about ?Fernand Link to comment

ruudalbers 1 Posted March 3, 2007 Really beautiful work, Fernand! Hartelijke groeten, Ruud. Link to comment
Link to comment
orensztajn 0 Posted March 3, 2007 Amazing image. Is an IR isn't it? Did you do a custom WB to the green? Excelent composition Fernand and a nice dreaming mood! Link to comment
fhick 0 Posted March 4, 2007 Gustavo, it's only a frosted landscape, consequently no IR effect. Regards, Fernand Link to comment
jana 1 Posted March 6, 2007 very romantic scene. I like the grass left, it gives the water a direction. wonderful mood, cheers Jana Link to comment
kurt2006 0 Posted March 7, 2007 Fernand, this image is magical. Alone with the trees, water and sky, the image is strong. But then the birds repeat the light and dark contrast adding an amazing element of interest. Very excellent composition. Link to comment
lucyhollis 2 Posted May 16, 2007 Really good effect! The way the trees glow is so special. Link to comment
