davidbridge 0 Posted March 6, 2007 This was taken atop the Mont Genevre ski resort in France near Clavier (Italian border). You can ski between France and Italy here. Its excellent. On top of the mnountain is really quiet and peacefull and 2600 metres high. The view is breath taking and I thought this would be hard to capture but TBH I think I did quite a good job but the question remains.... What do you thik? Canon EOS 30D with Sigma 28-70 pro lens. 6 shot stitch. Polariser. Very little touch up. Thanks Dave Link to comment
carla_f 0 Posted March 6, 2007 Very nice, my only complaint is that the sky gets very dark on the right, and the image itself appears very pixelly, I'm losing some of the gorgeous detail here. (edit, I was trying to view it large) Very lovely otherwise :) Link to comment
younes 0 Posted March 6, 2007 I think you did a really nice job, but believe that the buildings on either side are a bit distracting and take away from the "grandeur" of the place (but I know that it isn't always easy to exclude things such as these). Link to comment
harrylichtman 0 Posted March 23, 2008 Did you use a polarizing filter? The dark sky transition may be due to a polarizer on such a wide angle, and from the light direction in the image, I think this was the case. Also, you might be able to decreasse the blue/cyan cast often created on snow with a bright blue sky by using the color balance adjustment. Looks a little too blue for me, but maybe that was the ffect you were after. Very expansive! Good to be you! Harry Link to comment
