mvisionphotography 1 Posted February 21, 2007 This is in a slight waterpaint for softness and to make the eyes glisten. I left the hair and the shadows as it gave it character and left the cropping like it is because it left the focus on the EYE. That IS the focus. ~ Please Comment and Critique it ~ It is a SELF PORTRAIT ~ thank you! ~ Link to comment

jan_piller 0 Posted March 14, 2007 This is my favorite because it is really you and not a "painting" of you. And its a beautiful image - you have the greatest eyes that you can't see (or they're not the focal point) in the painterly versions. Just my most humble opinion girl! Your eyes are the windows to your soul. I think this image is great! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted May 18, 2007 A very intimate self portrait. I'd probably like the original more but this still works for me. It's certainly not overdone, except maybe the iris of the eye feels false compared to the rest. I can't imagine the eye not standing out even if left untouched. Great perspective, cropping. Love the hair in your face. And, of course, the expression--which I won't try to put a lable on--is unique and bewildering. This is a strong photograph and feels like we're getting to see a very personal side of yourself. Link to comment
mvisionphotography 1 Posted May 18, 2007 Funny, I can't remember why in the world I would waterpaint this but at the time I must have been wanting to make my eyes do something. Hmmm This was in a set of other pictures that were uploaded so I do try to do several things different on each of them. I too like the hair in my face. Thank you for seeing my emotion :) Link to comment
