lesa jones 0 Posted February 21, 2007 nice shot...but where is the rest of her hair? LJ Link to comment
deb1 0 Posted February 21, 2007 This is a beautiful image, however, the line between the water and the sky make it appear as if her hair is sliced off. It's clearly the straight line that gives that illusion. If you are like me, you are so focused on the pose and lighting, it's easy to overlook a merger such as the horizon. deb deb Link to comment
wood 1 Posted February 21, 2007 It appears as if the ocean is cutting off the top of her hair. Change your perspective (next time) and place her head well below the horizon, or well above it (preferrably most of her body as well). The foreground is useless and adds nothing to the image. I would tighten the frame to exclude all but the main subject. The alternating sun and shadows are ok but her face needs more light. Keep in mind that I am not a wedding photographer . . . just an amateur with an opinion. Link to comment
daviddbfotoart 0 Posted February 23, 2007 Too late on the cropping idea, not much will save the inherant issues with the photograph. Re-position yourself for a better angle. If you haven't already, learn everything you can about location portrait shooting to improve your wedding photography skills. Link to comment
