I did consider cloning out the cranes but thought that they offered an element of symetry to the picture as well as showing a typical cityscape as it is...cranes and all!!

It's a good thing that you didn't clone the cranes; they add character to the picture....A city is always a work in construction; most of its beauty comes from its ever changing face.
