Thanks in advance for any comments. Could my composition have been

improved?

Ok, you asked could the composition been improved? the answer is yes, get the duck off of dead center, clean up the composition so there is less clutter, wait until the one duck has his head out of the water, put some fill flash on it, so you can see the one duck's eye that isn't in the water. wait until the second duck's face is not in the shadow of the first duck's rear. you have good light and color in this scene, but didn't really capture any interaction between the two ducks, or either duck and the viewer. didn't mean to be harsh but you did ask.
