Guest Guest Posted February 11, 2007 very sharp image, Perhaps you need to buy/build a small softbox to shoot without reflections and hotspots Link to comment
arash khoshghadam 0 Posted February 11, 2007 A classic shot with two elements to study: 1- figure- with effective visual characteristics, namely, shape which is very pleasing and invokes tranquility because of the domination of contours which induce smooth optical flowing movement. Texture as revealed nicely by a proper exposure helping the viewer to speculate about the material characteristics of the object. 2- Ground- kept in a very reasonable proportion in conjunction with the figure. A more obtrusive ground would undermine the figures visual importance. The background is counted as part of the ground nicely thrown out of focus but still with enough visual clues for the viewer to decide the environment the figure is located. The perceived contrast among the vertical lines of the background, the diagonal outline of the table( the ground) and the contoured profile of the primary point of interest is very pleasing. These said, I like to take issue with your having used a flash to illuminate the figure. the reflection on the patina of the pipe is certainly I would never let happen. That is extremely distractive. ciao Link to comment
