richard van hoesel 0 Posted February 5, 2007 Strong composition Mike. Maybe just my own predisposition, but it seems to be begging for a long exposure version too. My only other suggestion is a minimal shift of the camera position to the left to open a small gap between the rocks near the horizon on the right. Link to comment
mikestacey 0 Posted February 5, 2007 You're right Richard. I stumbled aross this spot at 10am last Friday and will definitely be going back for an early or late shoot. See what you mean re. the opening, only problem is the radial "gutters" in the fg are not so pronounced to the left. Thanks. Link to comment
carsten_ranke 0 Posted February 5, 2007 The radial "gutters" are perfectly staged, very nice curves, draw me into the scene. Would be indeed interesting to see a long exposure, but with longer exposure, the interesting spume pattern could be spoiled (the white foam works nicely extending the foreground rocks` lines). Quite uniform sky, maybe I would crop a bit. Great seascape ! Link to comment
andrew ren 0 Posted February 7, 2007 Mike, looks like you find a way to blance b/w and slides out. :-) It's a 75 or 90mm? Andrew Link to comment
mikestacey 0 Posted February 8, 2007 This was the Mamiya Andrew, the 43mm which I guess is rougly the same as a 70 - 74mm in LF terms. Link to comment
seandepuydt 2 Posted February 12, 2007 Mike, I must have missed this one. Man I like the foamy water and the radial pool. Excellent and very moody. - Sean Link to comment
