gnashings 5 Posted January 30, 2007 Look, there is no need - just find the LF you obviously wanted to shoot in the first place :) Seriously though, I am not crazy about it, and for once I think its not because of Spitphile tendencies, I simply don't think it really works well as an image. shacknav 0 Posted January 30, 2007 Think I agree with Peter, while this is as sharp an image as you could wish it doesn't 'click' as a picture. Why not try a tightish crop on the full image, I assume you captured the complete a/c, cheers. Pat Link to comment
alex_kew 0 Posted January 31, 2007 I chopped it's rudder off - hence the 'experiment' of seeing if I could get something decent out of a tight crop. I tried to place the canopy on 3rds intersection, hence no prop. Thanks for the feedback - your thoughts match my own. Link to comment
k5083 1 Posted January 31, 2007 I think it is quite a good crop and a nice composition. The little bit of prop at the right edge bothers me a little and I would probably retouch it out. If it doesn't work as a photograph, I think it might be only because the lighting is very flat and the tones have an overexposed, undersaturated quality. With some PS work on the colors and contrast I think it could be a very good picture. I certainly like it better than most whole-airplane pictures, which always end up being 80% blank sky and start to look the same after a while. Link to comment
