joe_williams3 0 Posted January 26, 2007 Pat, Nice work to get the nice sharp capture. The background definitely suits, as well. Link to comment

dangoldman 0 Posted January 27, 2007 Well, looks like i'll be the naysayer. Pat, i think this a great picture, but something doesnt seem right, they seem like they were dropped into the frame. I think the far plane should be a soft/OOF, but i think moreso that there needs to be some shadow play or something. Sorry i cant be more specific. Link to comment
k5083 1 Posted January 27, 2007 I think it's fine. The compositing would have fooled me except that the top two prop blades of B7-H seem to be clipped off. On closer inspection the transition around the prop of WZ-I is not perfect either and there seems to be more noise in the airplanes than in the sky, but I wouldn't have looked for these if I had not known to. Aesthetically it's a nice enough picture and certainly a cheaper way of getting a sunny sky backdrop than moving to Texas. Link to comment
gnashings 5 Posted January 27, 2007 You know how I feel about those composites... (sigh) but this is a pretty fine exapmple of one. Link to comment
shacknav 0 Posted January 29, 2007 OK August - right as usual - have reworked the prop blades (blades are always a real pain in composites) but have to leave the noise as is. This is one of my earliest attempts at composite work and I guess it shows somewhat. Thanks for the input from all, always welcome. Pat Link to comment
