jray 0 Posted January 24, 2007 I really enjoy this photo - the palette, lighting, composition, but it the extremely shallow DOF bothers me. I like the hair and shoulders soft, but it is distracting for me that his nose is out of focus. That's a fairly small detail though, I really appreciate your approach to portraiture on the street. atkphotoworks 0 Posted January 24, 2007 Sergey, I love the sharpness on his forehead and parts of his beard. But I too am not fond of how his nose is blurred. I do wish there was a bit more lighting. Link to comment

sergeyushakov 0 Posted January 24, 2007 I am still sure that paper-thin DOF is appropriate decision here - the intention was to illustrate some raw life power in this guy, not handsomness :) As the nose attract some unwanted attention - may be some burning will help - like this: Link to comment
