that's a very subtle change and I must say I like it ... what did you do exactly? ;-)

Glad you like the change. I opened a "curves" layer but didn't make any changes to the curve, and said "ok." Then I changed the mode to "Overlay." I then made a mask, filled with black, and then changed the black/white (show, hide) indictor to white, and painted the effect on just the shiny metal parts. Works on the chrome of a car, too, which is where I first saw the effect.
