lalit 0 Posted January 16, 2007 THE WAVES (Black and white version): Choose your favorite! On a family camping trip, I took a break in the evening to explore the tallest dune (490 ft). I took a diversion as the sun seemed to reach the horizon earlier than I thought. This place lies in the valley and sun sets early here. On the way I watched beetles crawling on the sand, rabbits playing in the bushes, met birds returning to their nests. I also observed and carefully avoided the countless tracks of beetles, coyotes, and rabbits and possibly snakes too. I came to the base of his smaller dune, where I was welcomed by this sea of sand. I was the only surfer there on these waves, along with a couple of bushes like the one I captured here. I used the 16-35 mm lens on 20D. Tripod as low as possible. Used polarizer, which is very tricky because of the angle of the Sun's rays, however necessary to remove some hazy reflections. If you have a camera that offers the full view with lenses like 5D, you could also use the 15 mm lens to get the beautiful symmetry of the round shape of the dunes as well as the artistic distortion you can obtain with the fisheye. adan1 0 Posted January 17, 2007 Great piece of work. I love the ondulating lines and the bush providing a breaking point in this composition. Link to comment
