aepelbacher 0 Posted January 13, 2007 The Torpedo Factory in Old Town Alexandria is now an Art Center. But it was originally a U.S. Navy Torpedo Factory. This was taken last January, one morning at sunrise. So, tell me ... does this photo have any value more than a snapshot? Is the sky too boring? Do the boats distract? Where does your eye land? What other thoughts do you have? I would love to hear any suggestions. :-) Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted January 14, 2007 My eyes land on that bright reflection in the window. Better than a snapshot because of the special lighting. I like the boats included. A pleasing composition, imo. Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted January 14, 2007 Thanks, Kim - that's exactly where my eyes land, too. It's actually a very lovely waterfront area. Link to comment
sondra kick 0 Posted January 15, 2007 Lou Ann, I agree with Kim, the lighting is beautiful and the colors fantastic. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted January 16, 2007 Lou Ann, the architecture of the building is not very interesting but the light and the boats are adding to it. I wonder if you have taken some photos of the inside, might have real interest.. ;-)) Link to comment
laurentlacoste 0 Posted January 21, 2007 The light here is wonderful. From golden to red. As Pnina mentioned, nice architecture, and the boat are a nice foreground too! A cool shot, Lou Ann! Link to comment
