davidmccracken 2 Posted January 15, 2007 I would have to say not a very pleasing image. I am fully aware it is not meant to be. That said, I do wonder if the person depicted in this photograph benefited in any way by the fact it was taken. Link to comment
jonathan_zvesper 0 Posted January 15, 2007 A very strong image. Not pleasing, no, but powerful. The colours are very homogenous. How about a black and white (higher contrast) version? Or would that be less human? It has an impressively, disturbingly,... real quality to it! Link to comment
gungajim 75 Posted January 15, 2007 This is an exceptional composition. Everyone wants to see pretty faces and silky skin. Few people are willing to face the fact that more people in the world live in conditions like this than in conditions like than in fashion and glamour environments that dominate web images. If we saw more work like this, it might, in some small way, influence the way the affluent and powerful use their resources. Congratulations! (This is probably really offensive to those with foot fetishes!) And David, did the two Latin American babes draped on your shoulder in your bio pic benefit in any way from having their photo taken? If they didn't have big tits and flashy beauty, chances are they would be looking as grim as the person in this photo. Link to comment
michellecarter 0 Posted January 15, 2007 I think this is a very powerful image. I agree it may be even better in black and white. I like the fact that you try to portray feeling in your work as well as real life, and not just the dream world of "pretty people". These people are beautiful because of the lives they are leading, not their looks. Great job and keep up the good work. Link to comment
jason j 1 Posted January 18, 2007 He was sad that he had no shoes, until he met a man with no feet. An evocative, somewhat disturbing photo. It raises questions, but what are the answers? Link to comment
radu bucur 0 Posted September 11, 2007 I don't know how should I comment the 7/7 on this photo... It is absolutely magnificent! Link to comment
