A neat capture. I particularly like the light which shows up the foreground, and makes the busy (but blurred) background less intrusive. Good sharp focus, and you can practically feel the poor salamander struggle.

This is a very nice capture (pun intended). Nice isolation from smooth background, good natural lighting, perfect focus and exposure. If this is a crop, I would remove a bit on the right and add the same amount to the left; it would draw more attention to the bird's head with the salamander, which is a bit too far out currently. Try and see if it works.

Daniel, this is an exceptional image! I love the strong green background with the egret in the foreground. No blow-outs on the white which is also quite a feat. Excellent composition and DOF. Well done! Rgds Carole

La foto es muy hermosa, la espontaneidad, el ambiente y la dificultad para tomarla merecen 7/7, pero ellos dicen "The owner of this photo has rated 1 of your photos with a 7 during the last fourteen days; and you aren't allowed to reciprocate so soon"

Felicitaciones Daniel

Rating system on this site is a joke. How can anyone give this shot a 3/3 or 4/4. Possibly these guys have never experienced about photographing birds, and hide themselves as anonymous to avoid giving ridicule explanations. I wonder if these "experts" have so much criteria or better photos than this as to rate in their way. or is just a childish act of jealousy?

I would rather comment than score. The scores are nice (particularly if they place your image in the top tier of viewed images) because they get you more views. To me, more views is what I am looking for.

This is a beautiful capture. Those that shoot wildlife can appreciate what you have done here. I would be very happy to add a capture like this to my portfolio.
