The Colorado State Capitol Building in winter

The night was incredibly beautiful and the decorative lighting on the

building was an ideal complement to the natural ambience.

Trevor, the combined colors are really striking, and you have done a really good job with the camera work here. You could tinker a little but it's really an interesting photo.

Trevor, I like this composition a lot better than the horizontal. My only gripe is the streetlight on the right is overpowering the image with it brightness, it tends to distract me from the building itself. Good shot and effort, thanks.

Mark made a good point regarding the light being a distraction. The steps and the building not converging is also a negative. I believe the horizontal shot works better. I like the idea. Cheers!
