I see tons of flower pictures on PN. So many that they have to be exceptional for me to think about commenting on them unless I can offer some constructive criticism. This one is simply beautiful. Very sharp focus, and the dof is great. Normally the object to the right would be distracting, however, with its own interesting symetry it becomes another point of interest. Thanks for sharing. Ron

Beautiful flower shot. The out-of-focus leaf on the left is a bit distracting.

Very sharp focus. Those out-of-focus items (leaves, etc) provide an interesting frame that brings the eye to the subject of interest. Did you have any kind of fill flash? Congrats.

I have seen a few shots on lotus on Photo.net. This one is just the one of the bests. The lighting, color, composition, everything is good. I tried to rate it to 7 but, unfortunately, my rating was rejected by the system.

This is really beautiful and the softness and colors of the flower works well with the dark background.
