Kostas Angelopoulos 0 Posted December 17, 2006 Memories of out- migrants... Kithira was an isolated and poor island at the first half of 20th century. Most of the inhabitants forced to migrate far away, America, Australia and so. Now a days, people that worked all their lifes aboard, coming back home with strong filings about their youth, to recover the abandoned but traditionally unique houses. I just took of the wall this naif painting which waited over the decades to meet again the old chest full of those memories, in order to emphasise on this atmosphere. A repost. Thanks for your time. vmar 2 Posted December 18, 2006 Very nice abstract. Kythira is a very photoraphic place and can say thousands of different stories. I visited the island recently for a weekend to wish to return soon. Kales giortes, Vassilis. Link to comment
