bernard the amateur 0 Posted December 16, 2006 This is a great portait of this child's eyes, but there's something missing for me - something about the expression in the face. Perhaps the *lack* of expression appeals to some, but to me, something's missing. I do like the way the hair frames the eyes, but the hair also frames the mouth, and this mouth isn't saying anything to me. It's just... there. It's not that I am looking for a smile, frown or anything specific. But, many children have animated faces that tell you what they're thinking, and photos that capture this really say a lot to me. To me, this shot has potential for greatness, but your subject just didn't quite cooperate. Link to comment
