djackson99 0 Posted December 15, 2006 Ken - What a nice place to be. Good job of composition on this one my friend. P.S. I noticed that you took this with a 18 - 200 Nikon lens. Please give us your critique of this lens . . . particular about it's sharpness at 200mm. Link to comment
bruxe 0 Posted December 15, 2006 I have a 24-120VR and wonder what are the results at 200 with yours Link to comment
stormphotonet 1 Posted December 15, 2006 Well Frank and Drew thanks for your kind words! The lens has been in my bag for a week so I do not know a lot about what it will do yet. The one thing I wish our friends at Nikon would have done is make the zoom titter, if I am shooting up or down I need to hold the zoom or gravity will have its way with the lens. But I am having the time of my life with the VR. Being an old man that likes his coffee it is helping. I have shot some after sunset shots that I would have had to go with a tripod with before the lens. Does this mean that you can sell all the pods no but it does help. Now if the lens would just level the camera for me I would have it made! LOL Link to comment
