clayton_berg 0 Posted December 1, 2006 Years ago, the residents of Nemiskam (or Nemiscam depending on who you ask and what map you look at) saw they could not avoid the unavoidable and realized their beloved and historic hamlet was on the decline. In an effort to make light of a bad situation someone posted this sign stating that K-mart, at the time north america's largest retailer was moving into town. Today K-mart like Nemiskam is also in sharp decline, adding an element of irony to this already tongue in cheek effort at humor. I've been back to this spot several times trying to capture the right mood and feel. After some playing in photoshop I think I finally got the mood I wanted ironically from the first composition and the first shot I tried. Hope you enjoy. Link to comment

lonebearimages 0 Posted December 1, 2006 Geez, maybe they ought to ask Walmart to come to town...Seriously, Clayton, I like this image, it looks like you've pretty well desaturated it, which contributes the overall sense of isolation. Best regards, Chris Link to comment
