This is a view of the Garden Wall and Going to the Sun Highway from

the summit of Mt Oberlin in Glacier Park Montana. Thanks for looking

and I'd like to hear from you.

Fred Frank, it is a great and unique shot which has not been done before.

The deep cave background in green and yellow is very impressive.

The goat is just a human being.

Amazing shot of an amazing creature in an amazing landscape. A really wonderful composition and capture in one of my most favorite national parks. Great job! Best regards, Chris

Simply an outstanding image! It looks as though this opportunity just presented itself while you were hiking. I like to shoot landscapes and I keep meaning to buy a good digicam to keep handy at all times for opportunities like this. Lugging 60 lbs. of camera gear in a backpack is not conducive to great opportunities like this. Once again...great photo! 7/7

That's exactly how it happened Frank. I was alone for about 15 min and then a group of 4 other hikers came up. Soon after, this goat showed up and posed for photographs. It couldn't have been any sweeter. Minutes later a heavy fog came over the continental divide, (top af the wall in the photo), and it dropped to about 40 degrees, (July??). I have several other shots from that day that I may post at a later date. Thanks to everyone who commented and rated this lucky shot. I have learned from all of you and I really do enjoy Photo.net. This is a very strong image. Great sense of depth. It really tells the story of a harsh existance up high and the magnitude of the glacier-carved landscape. The lighting is a perfect touch.
