milisen 0 Posted November 27, 2006 I cant explain why, but in driving past this piece of driftwood, I saw something artistic in it. Link to comment
jerrymat 5 Posted March 1, 2009 Jeff, I would not presume to tell you how to do underwater photography, because you are a master at it. However, just from general principles above water, the sea generally forms a horizontal line at the horizon. Here you have justified the fears of the ignorant sailors who sailed with Columbus. They were afraid that if they sailed to the ends of the flat earth, they would fall off the edge. I can see from above you must have been pretty close to that edge because the sea is definitely tipped to the right and presumably falling off the earth's edge just a mile or so in that direction. Seriously, recropping to straighten the horizon is easily done in post-processing software. Regard, Jerry Link to comment
milisen 0 Posted February 20, 2010 Hi Jerry, Thanks for the comment and your advice was actually some of the first such advice I received when doing any kind of above water photography. Make sure you horizons are level. This is very true and I agree wholeheartedly. This was taken a while back when I still had a lot to learn and has been on here since. Come to think of it, I still have a lot to learn. Thanks again. Link to comment
