Blooms

Just would like to know your opinion of this photo.

Sorry EA but I don't think it works with the focus like this - buds in focus, flower not. The flower is far too large and eye-catching to be ignored, and so it's out-of-focussedness undoes the whole photo. The nearest buds are also soft. But the balance of forms is good. Can you do it again, with the focus extending from the nearest bud to the flower?

Nice colors, but what was supposed to be in focus?

love the colors and dof. i'm torn a little about the bloom in the background, part of me wants it in focus, but i also like it the way it is.

The focus is puzzling, but I still find the composition appealing. The buds have a surreal liquid or metallic look to them.
