Impressive natural monument. Intriguing color palette, and lots of interesting shapes and patterns to discover. Is there a chance that some scaling figure is to be seen there ? I mean something like an animal with known size to convey a feeling for dimensions ? After reading the comment about height relations, I find it even more impressive !

Excellent ... a great mood and wonderful color & lines & form. I especially like the sky/background. It is so monotone and matches the water in the foreground quite nicely. Aren't icebergs fun to shoot?

Merry Christmas to you, Baldur!

Dear Carsten, Lou Ann and Darko for your visit and kind comments. To Carsten: Most often a human figures are used in the forground to compare the size. It was not possible in this time because nobody was close by. It was rather cold and the ice formations was moving around rather quickly by the stream in the cold water. As I have said before, the size of a human figure is most likely about 1/4 or 1/5 compared to the "human or alien" ice figure to the right. The Natural born Sculptures in "The Ice Gallery" are a progeny of the glacier. To Lou Ann: Icebergs are really fun to shoot ! To Darko: I agree with you !! Merry Cristhmas & Happy New Year to all of you.

Nice image once again. This is image is extremely simple, often the case in such situation and it comes to life only for its technical qualities and renditions of the colors, the shades. Of course the ever-changing ice forms and the contrast between the different ice colors express the aesthetics content of this shot.
