Aspens in the fall

Karen, the bright yellow colour is certainly eye catching. To be perfectly honest, though, it's not enough to power your composition through to a successful photo, IMHO. The sky is lost. There is nothing contrast-wise to challenge the bright yellow colour. If, instead of the opening in the upper RH part there were dark green conifers, forming a dark, contrasting, wedge in the bright yellow patch, it would be much better. The shape of the landscape is plain ordinary. I would have to give it 3 points out of 7. Cheers, Micheal
