studiozero 0 Posted March 24, 2002 Wow, awesome. How did you made it sky so black??? Hm.... Link to comment
dennismk 0 Posted March 24, 2002 The red filter helped alot in the orginal shot. Then by using that burning in the edges trick in PS helped and using color balance and selective color and selecting areas of the image to work for tone and value and some color keeping the image in RGB. Much the same as in a trad. darkroom but with better control and instant viewing. Link to comment
dennismk 0 Posted March 24, 2002 Taken back in 1965 and worked in PS in 2002 trying to blend hue and value into a multitone B&W type image. Link to comment
philippe 0 Posted March 24, 2002 Very nice! As if the clouds and the waves would merge... Link to comment
billmagee 0 Posted March 24, 2002 Great composition and really great job on the PS work. Those waves crashing over the rock are awesome. Link to comment
judith_sevestre1 0 Posted March 25, 2002 Great job on the dramatic mood and composition. I have to explore PS a bit more, meaby than I can make my photo's look this good too. Well probably not ;) Thanks for sharing Judith Link to comment
giobiondani 0 Posted March 25, 2002 I like this picture. The only problem, imo, is the rock in the middle, which is too red, and the coast in the middle as well, which is too light. Both look kind of out of place.Anyway, very nice idea. Link to comment
mg 0 Posted June 24, 2002 This is truly splendid, Dennis. What a great idea to mix the tones... I just wish you could burn in slightly the left rock, and have slightly less blown out highlight. The composition is truly perfect to me. Regards. Link to comment
manuel.rincon 0 Posted July 6, 2006 Obvious PS work is bad most of the time, unless it is done properly. This is a very strong image, obviously artificial but obviously attractive and highly communicative of emotions. I tend to agree with the comment of too red rock in the middle. Manuel. dennismk 0 Posted August 18, 2006 I have been asked to show the orginal negative taken in 1964 to show the work that was done in PS to craft this image. The work in PS was took a long time to do but was tons of fun creatively. Link to comment
