city grocery

Hey Linda....is this City Grocery..famous for the muffaletta's? One of my must do's everytime I am in New Orleans. This is a nice shot, but might have more "wow" factor if shot with a very wide angle. Regards...LJ

hey Lesa! i don't think this was Central Grocery, though it was on Decatur St. i was in the city shooting with Sarah Underhill. she was looking for hairspray so we came in here and i was smitten by all of the bright colors and converging lines. next time you come to New Orleans, let me know and we could get together. i am only 50 miles from the city, and it would be fun to get together!

That's the first grocery store picture I've seen on PN, and I like it a lot. I think grocery stores are a great place to do photography.

I *love* this shot. It really pushes my envelope. The wide angle suggestion has its place but i like this exactly as it is. Thanks for sharing your portfolio, very nice.

I like this image very much Linda....the colors, the balance and the distant cold blue outside, it has visual energy...don't ask me why but I am attracted to mundane subject well captured...
