DEGREEFOTO 0 Posted November 3, 2006 Over all a nice shot David...if anything the use of a pola may have come in handy to get rid of your reflection in the glass. Ap from that I feel that the model may have been forcing herself to give her facial expression...which I find a little strained to be honest...as if the water was really cold and not to her liking. But thats just me.... Artur Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted November 4, 2006 Artur, I am pleased you took the time to comment here. However, I think you are missing the point with this one. My reflection is deliberate and thus removing it would defeat the purpose of the image. That said, I would agree that a photograph without me would be infinitely better. As for the expression on the model's face. I really don't know. Link to comment
teru 0 Posted November 4, 2006 Artur, Like David said, the reflection was the point of the photo. If anything, I would have used a polarizer to increase the reflection even more; I almost missed it on first glance. Link to comment
owen_omeara 1 Posted November 4, 2006 I agree with Teru that a bit more of the reflection would have worked. I like the idea a great deal and my only problem with the image is the definition of the model against the background especially in the area of her face. It might use a tad more contrast to deal with the problem. I hope there are more from this shoot and I think your image does, in fact, do a great deal to add impact. Great idea, well executed. -Cheers Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted November 5, 2006 Teru, Thanks! It's a pity you only missed me on the 1st glance. Seriously though, thanks! Owen, I hear what you say about the contrast. I haven't actually printed this image and I am not sure that I will. I felt the white join in the shower door was overpowering in this. No one has mentioned it. I feel upping the contrast may make it a touch too overpowering. Thanks for the feedback. Link to comment
rob mac 0 Posted November 14, 2006 This photograph talks. It is more than just a girl in the shower shot. Maybe you pegged it by associating it with Hitchcock in you opening comment~~~~~ Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted November 14, 2006 Thanks Robert. I guess if I had filmed blood going down the plug hole it would have been more obvious.... now there's an idea! Link to comment
