Are the colors oversaturated? There seems to be a lack of tonality

with them if I desaturate. Your opinion?

Looks OK to me, Ed. Nice job. Couple little nits; maybe crop out the edge of the chair (or whatever it is) on the right side and clone out the debris on the carpet.

same for me Ed, saturation looks fine, but there seems to be a little too much included in the photo. The people look dwarfed by all the extra stuff. I tighter crop would help things.

Is this satire? I have seen photos like this intended to be social commentary done by famous art photographers. What did subjects say?

You're thinking of Struth, right? Wish I could say this was meant to be high art but the old man had that same expression on his face all through the wedding. In situations like that eventually you give up on the warm-and-fuzzy stuff and start saying "OK, what can I do to make the shot formalisticaly interesting?".

I bet, I can guess who is paying for the wedding?
