i like the colors of the photo and technically it is much better then the 3's people like to dish out on photo.net without justifying why they think it is a below avergae photo. This is not below average in my opinion. However, it doesn't say much. the picture doesn't answer many questions or any at all for that matter. Who is he? What is he like? Portraits should show the personality of people and give us a glimpse into his character. if you combine your excellent use of depth of field, good light use and some insight into his character you will have a real winner.
